Latest update is junk

What were they thinking??? Ive used this for a long time and really liked it. Since the latest update the app does not update properly, so stories stay on for days. Worst of all, 1/3 of the screen is now taken up with a menu? Come on, this is amateur hour. Lets have an update losing the ugly menu and refreshing stories like you did in the past.
Using another local news app until this is done.
